Fundraising

Fundraising is a rewarding way to make a valuable difference to the lives of people. Anyone can fundraise – it can be at your workplace, school, community group or as an individual. Fundraising is vital for our charity to ensure we are able to deliver the range of programs and services we offer people with a physical disability. The generosity of the public is extremely important to us and we are appreciative of their support via donations and raffles.

Raffles

Would you like to have the chance to win up to $10,000??? We currently conduct three raffles per year, with Lucky Numbers in the raffle $3.00 each. By taking Lucky Numbers, you will be helping us to provide a range of social, recreational and sporting activities for West Australians with a physical disability.

Mail Appeals

Wheelchair Sports WA currently conducts two direct mail appeals each year. These appeals currently include a Xmas Appeal, as well as a Tax Appeal, held towards the end of the financial year. If you would like to be added to either appeal, please contact our office on 08 6143 5800 or emailing us at admin@wheelchairsportswa.org.au

Wheelchair Challenge

The Wheelchair Challenge is an event which challenges people to spend just one day of their life in a wheelchair, whilst raising money for our charity. This initiative aims to:

  • Raise much needed funds to help us continue the work we do;
  • Raise awareness of the work we do in the community; and
  • Raise awareness of the challenging daily issues of accessibility encountered by people with a physical disability, by providing their able bodied peers with the opportunity to have first-hand experience in a wheelchair.
